week 24- when mommychef (not MasterChef) cooks

both jihan and hubby had were having their exams, so the rest of us carry on with normal activities..not much of outings and extraordinary stuffs happened...

at the end of the week was teacher's day celebration at jihan's school..2-3 days before that, she told me that she already told her class teacher that she would bring spaghetti bolognese for the class party...i asked her back who'll do the cooking and she simply answered mama lah.... i was like almost pengsan already as i have not been cooking special dish on special occasion like that since i got pregnant and now i had to cook for the whole class..gosh..*panic mode*..

anyhow, i did some shopping and planning when and what time to cook what...so, i made the sauce the night before and the next morning wan helped to cook the spaghetti...we packed them nicely for her to bring to school...and at home we also had spaghetti bolognese for breakfast, lunch and dinner and as usual it was yummylicious!

and that week, i also received some requests from my BFF to make few containers of tiramisu and carrot cakes for her farewell party next week...well, i couldn't say no to her but i told her it depended on the items available...so, we went hunting for the mascarpone cheese and sour cream as those sometimes can be out of stock at the shop...lucky her i got all the ingredients and so next week i'll do some baking too...

little baby has managed to persuade and push mommy out of her laziness to cook and bake for her loved ones...

week 23- Happy Mother's Day

yes, it's mother's day and we had a seafood dinner at Ana Ikan Bakar Petai, Bandar Baru Bangi...(unfortunately, no photos takes as we were so hungry and concentrating on the food so much)...

big brother imtiaz had his haircut by his atok sutres, who came all the way from batu pahat johor, not purposely to cut imtiaz's hair but for some other business .. it was quite difficult procedure as he had some sort of phobia having his hair cut, so we had to carry and cuddle him while the professional barber did his job..with all the crying and wailing and the hair was dropping all over the places, it was a total havoc...!

he was fine after that and kind of like his new hairstyle, kept calling himself as handsome and repeatedly announced to others that his hair is botak (bald)...hubby had his haircut few days later and imtiaz said it's similar, papa's head is also botak (although it was just shorter and trimmer)...

imtiaz followed his atok and wan and makngah Masterchef to bath pahat for a cooking program shooting episode and he had a wonderful time chasing the chicken and playing with his little uncles...they cooked nasi beriani gam and not sure if they captured imtiaz on the footage but imtiaz sure had a wonderful gastronomic experience with the nasi beriani gam...watch out for the program to be aired on Astro soon...

i started to feel hungry easily nowadays and I've made my own food stock in my drawer at my clinic consisting of biscuits and instant hot drinks...my weight gain was still acceptable, few grams increment in a week...sometimes i had problem with passing motion, so far no hemorrhoids yet...little baby was moving actively and it was quite obvious now and the feeling was nice, but ticklish...

dear hubby was busy with his exam and i'm coaching jihan for her exam next week...very difficult to coach her as i easily became inpatient, but she's a smart girl and was able to do her task well and i'm praying that she'll do well in the exam...

week 22 - mom & baby expo - shopping time

i'm sure going to this expo..i had made a  list what items to buy and i managed to drag dear hubby to come along even though he was quite stress to face his final exam next week...so we went on the first day of the expo, arrived at 10 am before they opened the door, got a nice parking spot near the hall so that easier to carry the stuffs to the car later...

the first booth we went to was the mamypoko booth.. we bought 2 packs of newborn disposable diapers and a carton (pack of 4) of small size diapers..that should last for a month (more or less) as i'm planning to combine both disposable and cloth diapers on my newborn...the price was quite cheap and it was worth to buy the whole lot...then we put the diapers into the car before heading to other booths to look around and get some other stuffs too..

went to tiny tapir to get some grovia cloth diapers and bioliners and we also bought the grovia training pants for imtiaz..i also bought some nursing bra from autumnz, then i realized i wrongly stated my size so i ended up buying a size larger...i gave them to my dear friend who just gave birth and she wore the size the i bought...i also bought some eubos bath gel for imtiaz as he has dry and sensitive skin...might as well use them for my newborn later, depending on his skin...

the shopping (and window shopping) madness took about 1 hour + and we had pizza hut for lunch...

i also managed to satisfy my craves for hassan ayam kampung's gulai ketam and jusco's tako tao that week...

dear hubby is sitting for his final exam for the next 2 weeks and jihan is sitting for her midterm exam soon and my life is in a mess with these major events...the house is undergoing a major renovation and that adds to the mess...praying hard both of them will succeed and and the renovation will complete before ramadhan...

week 21- happy 8th anniversary

busy, busy, busy...i'm midway of my 3rd pregnancy..alhamdulillah, so far so good..appetite improved, my tummy started to show but still have to bear the painful sacroiliitis on and off...and the baby's kick is more active and vigorous nowadays...and the weather is unbearably hot and humid and the air cond in our room is still not fixed yet...

1st May, is our wedding anniversary and it is on Labour Day..it's our 8th years together...and this year no special celebration as my dear hubby is busy preparing for his final exam in the next coming weeks...so, i ended up reading 2 chick lit novels bought a year ago (or was it 2 years back..?) and keeping myself amused and entertained plus handling the 2 kiddos by keeping them occupied as well...

we had special dinner of homemade mee bandung cooked by my mum and both of us had a quick lunch at Black Canyon the next day to celebrate our anniversary...

in the coming Mother's Day celebration, the NST organized some sort of Mother's Day competition and my cousin, who works in NST had put our photos in the newspaper to advertise and highlight on the competition...that photos was taken 3 years back and gosh, i looked so dull....

there will be a Mom & Baby Expo held in Midvalley next week and i'm planning to drag dear hubby to go to get some essentials for our baby...i'm starting to make the lists now (don't worry, it's not a long one..) so that i won't miss anything important ; )
